An excellent converter failed a flimsy plastic mount.

Bought to upgrade Lawrance Elite 5ti. Works perfectly. The mounting bracket supplied by Lowrance is plastic. It clicked as the boat reversed. I bought a stainless steel bracket to replace it. Adding $60 to the total cost. I would recommend Lowrance to supply a less flimsy mount for such expensive equipment. A stainless steel arm costs only a few dollars more than a plastic replacement arm. When a. If you buy this device, be prepared to buy a stronger mount.
