Review on Lobster Diving Gloves, Kevlar Spearfishing Dive Glove with Enhanced Puncture Resistance by Albert Gaines

I'll start by saying I have nothing to do with DVein, have never contacted them and have no incentive to write this review other than my support for the quality of to expand So first things first: I'm a working professional diver and I beat the BP out of my gear so I'm going to critique the extreme use performance of these gloves. After trying about 4 or 5 different hand protection products (which regularly get damaged in dirty water) I found that I couldn't resist the higher price tag of DVein gloves because honestly it's the only one that can withstand abuse. I've tried A9 anti-aircraft cutout gloves and these gloves wear out just as quickly as others, probably because they're not designed to last underwater. Most of these alternatives, while more economical, are packed with cut-resistant fibers that are uncomfortable on the skin when they are eventually and inevitably exposed (they literally scratched my face just by wiping water off the surface). On the other hand, DVein gloves last surprisingly longer due to the more water-resistant rubber padding, thicker rubber protection on the upper arm and impressively durable glove material. While I have personally worn them, I cannot imagine that normal use of the glove could result in premature failure. It's just a well made product. I was also a recreational diver and have been known to rod fish and catch a few lobsters - I can also attest to their longevity and exceptional protection in this environment. . While lobster spines can be felt through almost any glove, the DVein experience is significantly muted to a pain-relieving level, and unlike many alternatives, the upper protective pads prevent nasty friction injuries from holes where insects hide. .Gloves provide sufficient dexterity for most underwater work, even those that involve handling small objects such as nuts and bolts. They do not affect the use of my dive computers (Teric and i770R) nor do they affect my ability to operate the camera underwater. They are not very warm as that is not their intended purpose as they are not made of neoprene or any similar material. Considering I use them in Florida, I think this is an absolute plus. If I had to guess DVein, all I would say is that they should keep researching new compounds to stay as ahead of the competition as they currently are. I understand that the protective rubber pads are made of a soft material to allow the hand to flex easily, but something denser may help the gloves last a bit longer as regular abrasion and/or impact will take a lot of damage. . In addition, the rubber coating on the surface of the palm and fingers is quickly erased with aggressive use. A more durable alternative would greatly increase the value of these gloves. In conclusion, I would suggest that they be advertised everywhere. If any activity is being performed underwater, even outside of diving and fishing, and your hands are at risk, I would have no hesitation in recommending these gloves for your protection.
