I am a professional repairer. My biggest fear is drilling a hole in the expensive cabinets I just installed and putting them in the wrong place. Also, if I have to adjust about twenty knobs, the more reps I can do, the faster I can do it. This jig (actually a tool, since jig is an unkind description) allows for precision, repetition, and the absence of error (if you pay attention!). Best of all, you can adjust the centering of a pull or handle on a set of drawers, and even if the depth of the drawer front changes, you'll still be centered, just readjust the depth. I just installed a couple of cabinets with a 6x20 drawer on top and six different 2-10x10 cabinets and drawers under the top drawer. I did all the top 6" boxes and then reinstalled for the 10's. They all came out perfectly centered and they were all the same size on each row of cabs. The trick is to make sure all the cabs are pulled forward .and a pointer on the same side of all the drawers.I also used a laser to take the center of the top drawer and transferred it to the bottom drawers.So if the front drawers were slightly offset you couldn't visually tell .was the only tool (device) that worked with wide grips. I've worked with 10" wide bars and I think they can work up to 12" or more. Stop reading and buy it!
