There were great difficulties when operating as a portable hand microscope. Worked great on PC, connected and seen there with no issues, but I bought it specifically for its portability. I first had to buy an OTG cable to connect my microscope to a handheld device - no problem, only $6 at Revain - then I had to buy a new phone or tablet - I put it off, a 5 year old phone with one replacing cracked screen That's what prompted me, but there's no concrete information on which phone/tablet will work other than Apple's best products. I'm an elderly woman used to Android devices and with my disability income I still couldn't afford the latest Apple device. Eventually I settled on the Android J3 model and was pleased to find that it was compatible with the app. So after all that I am very happy with this microscope. I can view trichomes on my plants with videos and photos, save them, share them, etc. It takes a little practice to set up what I wanted to see, but I soon got pretty good at it. Resolution could be better but for the price it's perfect for my needs! It's also a lot of fun to look at all sorts of other things like skin, strands of hair, food crumbs and all that.
