I bought this for my upcoming vacation. I plan on bringing my 12 year old Italian greyhound so I needed something to protect him in unfamiliar places. We recently had a "trial run" when purchasing products. It worked great! I started by slowly acclimating it to the wearer. Then, when he settled in, we went to the store. He stuck to me very strongly, like glue, so it was good for him to be able to keep my distance. The only time we had trouble was when he suddenly turned around and threw me off balance, but that would probably last for both of us.
