Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good pedals, comfortable foot space and affordable price. Win/win/win!

Good pedals so far (had a few weeks). Some avid mountain bikers may scoff at them as a more affordable pedal in terms of cost, materials, and weight (their opinion, not mine). If you're someone who constantly falls off 5ft ledges or is seriously gasping for air, this may not work for you. That's not my style after more than 20 years. previous hard driving. I have this on my Motobecane mt. The bike I will put against the bikes is three times more expensive. But instead of spending a lot of money on pedals, I'd rather use the extra $$ to buy some EXTRA items that I might not have bought otherwise. I'm not disputing the idea of getting a top pedal set if you can afford it. Most beginners couldn't quantify the noticeable difference in performance. But that's a conversation for others to discuss. The toe clips/cups give me plenty of room and are actually shaped to fit the toe box of your shoes better than some of the tented corner clips of years past (your older rider KNOW what I'm talking about). They offer good support and are easily adjustable with straps. I have had 7-10k bikes in the last +20 years and all used toe clips. For all newbies who may be considering trying them out. I started using them as soon as someone showed me how to get MUCH more out of my pedal travel with toe clips that helped pull the pedal UP with each stroke instead of just getting power off the pedal. move down. The gentle insertion of the foot when lifting/stopping takes some getting used to. But no more difficult than learning something else. Repeat this several times (away from traffic) and you will get the result. Start by keeping your foot on the non-clip side of the pedal, then take the toe of your boot and gently twist/tilt the clip side of the pedal. on a sneaker. Sounds more complicated than it is. A tip: leave the straps a little looser, it will be easier. I now have pedals with the same clamps on all three of my mountain bikes. If they break (which they never do) or wear out, I'll just buy a new set and I'm still ahead of those making fun of "lower" pedals. mountain biking. Give these a try if you're looking for an inexpensive yet decent pair of pedals. If not, Revain has a great returns policy.
