I keep all my freshly roasted coffee beans in this container before brewing. I really believe this product keeps my beans fresher because it protects them from light and comes in an airtight package. I think some reviewers were upset because they thought a vacuum was attached that would suck all the air out of the canister, but it doesn't. It has an airtight seal that prevents air from getting back into the canister, protecting it from moisture and stuff. Pros: - Durable - keeps coffee fresh - looks great in the kitchen. Open and close with a special locking valve first - the plastic can get smelly if you leave something in there for too long. All in all I have been using this product every day for over a year now and absolutely love it. If you want your coffee to stay in the dark and moisture out, this is a great product for you.
