I'm not very tech savvy but I know the quality when I see it. This monitor is very good, has a nice picture and a pleasant sound from the speakers. I originally ordered the 29" because I thought it would be too wide for my relatively small desk. I was wrong! It's the perfect size and works well (I'm not a gamer). Basically, I wanted something that is wide enough to split the screen and work on two documents at the same time. I thought I might need a different stand, but the stand that comes with it is very good and can be raised or tilted. I haven't tried all the features of the monitor yet, but so far everything seems GREAT!Update - my amazing monitor stopped working a little over 3 months after purchase.First the speakers stopped working.I then called LG while troubleshooting and he told me to power off and do a "hard reset". When I plugged it back in, it didn't light up! The unit clearly came with power, but it didn't light up. :-/ Since it's still garant ie was, they sent me a prepaid label to send it back. Luckily I kept the original box and packaging. I will update again once I get it back.
