Best heated rather than heated in blenders and blenders

My main issue with this unit is the method by which the temperature is set. I am familiar with the common designs used to control the power of heaters, lamps and other resistive loads, having designed them myself. This has the same problem as many inexpensive dimmers: you can't set the temperature (or intensity) below a certain point. Starting from OFF, turning the knob does nothing until a certain point, then it suddenly starts working and after that the heat/intensity can be fine tuned. From full throttle, the intensity/heat reduction drops to a point, as expected, and then abruptly shuts off. level this may not be a problem. I would be happier if the threshold point was lower as I needed to warm up a bit. My second concern is that thinner thread or a different alloy for the thermometer holder clip would be fine. After squeezing the clamp screw, the hand holding the thermometer was still not stiff enough to hold the thermometer in one place. Finally, a protective ring around the heating plate would help prevent accidental burns if the person accidentally moves their hand to the side. table and touch the edge of the hob. But these are all 4 star properties and with a rating system where the vendor is guaranteed 1 star, it makes sense to me to give 3 stars. If I plan on using this often enough, I would pay more and get these features. As this was intended to show a kid some cool chemistry experiments at an online school, I'm happy with this device. It does the job I wanted, worked 7-8 times when I needed it, seems well designed despite the comments above and the price was right.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
