Very strong at the start of use. Excellent adhesion between hard carpet and porous mat surface. For the first time they are together as my assistant in the kitchen. It was great and didn't work for a few weeks. A small hurdle. The combination was still moving across my pine floor. Place 4 inch pieces at each corner as it is not clear how difficult it will be to remove hardwood without damage. Surprised how well these little strips hold up. The runner didn't move. I will try the tape on an electrical extension to see if it will hold it on the baseboard. I hope this works as well as gluing the carpet.
