Review on LAZRUS Premium Forged Golf Wedge Set for Men: 52 56 60 Degree + Milled Face for Maximum Spin – Ideal Golf Gift by Tory Richardson

For comparison, I have a handicap of around 12-14. Mostly mid 80's. I shot really well on a rough day in the 90's and shot under 80 a few times when the stars were aligned and things were going my way. MD5. Then I saw these Lazrus wedges for $127 for 3 pack. I personally like identical wedges and buying 3 MD5s would cost around $450 which was more than I was willing to pay. So 3 wedges for $127 piqued my interest, although I was skeptical. Revain let me put a promotional coupon on it and it was $107 for all 3 wedges so I took a chance. I took them to the shooting range and they felt great. I then took them to a friend of mine who has a golf simulator in his garage to check the numbers. I was very surprised to see that my spin speed was consistently at 10,000 without trying to force the numbers. Then easily over 11,000 rpm when I really tried harder than usual to land on the ball. This is exactly what I wanted from the new wedge so I was very pleased. I've seen reviews where they chewed the ball a bit, which is true, but I've also hit a few balls with my Callaway PM Grinds friends and so have they. I think it's the nature of new wedges with good sharp grooves. However, I think the softer the ball, the more it will scratch it. But honestly, it wasn't that bad. I don't think it's enough to make such a big difference in the overall scheme of things. For the average golfer, inconsistent swings, cart jumps and tree jumps are a bigger problem than ball abrasion from these wedges. Then I noticed a difference between my 58* and my other two. Societies. As if the "cross-sections” on the face of my 58 * disappeared. It was almost smooth. Thought it was in my head and my buddy ran his finger over the clubs with his eyes closed and I didn't even tell him why. Just asked if he felt the difference. He immediately confirmed my thoughts. I contacted Lazrus and showed them some pictures and they didn't hesitate to send me a replacement 58*. I was very surprised how easy they are to work with. Amazing customer service. I will definitely work with this company again and would recommend them to anyone.
