My Revain order history tells me I buy a pair about once a year. I wore them to the Derby Lite and now I wear them like fresh meat. Four workouts a week, washing once every two weeks. They're quick and easy to put on, and the rounded portion of the plastic screen grip hits a lot better than its curved counterparts - it slides better, doesn't move in the body. The ventilation openings in the sleeve area tire over time and form "bumps", like tights. Eventually the sleeve becomes too loose and the plastic guards don't stay in place (e.g. on a 4 point fall both wrist guards slid down my arm). These shields tend to retain moisture within the case and give off a lingering odor if not opened to dry.
