Review on πŸ›’οΈ Biker's Choice Oil Tank Dipstick With Temperature Gauge for 2000-2017 Harley FXST and FLST Models by Michael Harden

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm also a bit disappointed with the length (it's too long) compared to .

I bought two of these. It goes well with my 2003 Heritage Softail with Mustang seat. But it doesn't seem to fit my wife's factory-seat 2005 Heritage Softail. I'm also a bit disappointed with the length (too long) compared to the factory dipsticks and the markings on the dipstick showing the oil level. Level as they don't match the markings on the factory dipstick or any other reference I can think of. As a solution to this problem I used a tool to mark the correct levels (compared to my factory stick) when the bike was warm on the stand (as recommended by Harley). I also compared the temperature readings of each to two known room temperatures and the boiling point of water. I have found the temperature readings to be within reasonable limits as indicated by the arrow. Since the upper temperature is about in the middle of the range, I expect the response will be linear over most of the scale. I don't need to know the exact temp, but it gives some reasonable information about my oil temp for me to check.

Pros
  • Engines and engine parts
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
