Review on Dell S2340M - 23 Inch LED Lit Monitor with 1920X1080 Resolution, 60Hz Refresh Rate, and High Definition - ‎293M3 Model by Alex Sandoval

The ordered and received monitor 21.5 arrived quickly, safely and well packaged. I also ordered an HDMI/DVI cable from the Revain website as the product reviews said it only came with a VGA cable. I didn't do any homework because my old Dell 4600 only had a VGA port so the cable was useless. The monitor turned on immediately [vga to vga] and looked fine, but the analog signal is not digital due to the cable/connector. Called DEll # Support provided with Monitor.Connected to INDIA which resulted in someone not being able to understand you. [Many companies have moved to the Philippines and I have had very good experiences with their language skills and competencies]. The first thing they asked for was a service tag on the computer [which I had] and the monitor. There is NO service tag on the monitor and although I did provide the Revain order number and offered a serial number, the lack of a service tag seems to have taken them by surprise. After 10 minutes he agreed to try to help. Help started out trying to sell me a new computer, but having added more memory and a larger hard drive, I consider it new apart from the lack of an HDMI port. My question was if I could get an adapter or a new digital signal card. He had no idea so he was transferred to a 'higher technique' who turned out to be an intermediary who in turn needed a full explanation to ensure I was transferred to the correct technique. I was reassigned again, but I ended up in a noose that no one had ever broken. So I gave up after 45 minutes. You can see why Dell struggles a lot with their poor customer service. Try asking Revain why there is no service tag on the monitor because the tech said they couldn't answer without it? Conclusion: monitor is good, after-sales support is bad. Jim
