DIY Successful

I just finished installing an Atlantis Easy Rail cable guide for my 35' x 18' deck. This was a DIY project and my first installation of a cable track system. After much deliberation I bought a good quality wire cutter (HK Porter 28 inch) and a drill guide to ensure a level through the post holes. This track system requires a 5/32 stainless steel cable. I recommend you to buy an Atlantis Easy Rail cable. It's a bit more expensive, but worth the small extra cost. The finished splint has a beautiful diamond shine, making it a quality splint. The best way to ensure the cable ends fit properly in the tensioner is to disassemble the tensioner and slide the components onto the cable. The small compression ring requires a bit of work to attach cable to cable, but it was an easy one Task when you have a good quality cord cutter and see what you're doing instead of trying to twist it into a blind hole took a long time but wasn't hard and the finished rail looks great.
