I really wanted to like this device. It had the features I was looking for. Unfortunately I had to heed the other 1 star reviews. We received it on Friday afternoon. He stopped working on Monday. And yes, I tried new batteries. The 6-year-old had a hard time pressing the buttons properly because they were soft and inconsistent when they worked and when they didn't. For example, if you press 8 once, the number will not be displayed. Other times two eights will appear and you will have to clear one. It disappointed every kid who tried it. Then he simply refused to even turn on. I heard a slight click when I pressed the power button, but nothing happened. Such a simple electronic device should last quite a long time and be easy to use. Is it really that difficult?
