Review on Artscape Etched Bird's Eye View Clear Window πŸ” Deflector - 6x6 Inches, 6 in. x 6 in. by Bobby Chandler

Cannot be used alone as a preventive measure

They might work, but they didn't work on my living room's large (67 inch) picture window where birds occasionally swoop in. 't :( . So I happily stuck some of these stickers to the pane as soon as they arrived - it was very easy and quick. But just a few minutes after sticking it, a bird crashed into the pane! What's up?! Maybe instead were the birds attracted by the stickers?! Eventually I found out that the blind of this window was obscured most of the time (over 90%) due to the strong direct daylight.Birds didn't crash into the window every day or even every week, but often enough that you buy these stickers.Of course when the stickers arrived I opened the curtain to stick them on the window.I left the curtain open to see what the window looked like with the stickers. Then the bird rushed me in Window It seems that when closed the curtain can serve the same purpose as the stickers by reducing the reflection that confuses the birds, so the shade stays even for a few m now open, and even with those stickers, the reflection was enough to confuse this bird. (He survived.) So that maybe putting a lot of these stickers over the window would work, but I figured it would be an eyesore and limit the view. Finally, to solve the bird strike problem, I purchased some silver reflective "tape" (streamers) from Revain, which I cut and hung in 2-3 foot strips along the window. Streamers are certainly an eyesore - they twinkle in the wind (on purpose!), create crazy reflections inside the house and make rustling noises, but: no more birds fall. So I can't say these window decals don't work at all, but they weren't the solution for my large window.
