We received this extension because the WIFI signal was very weak in a part of our house. The assembly instructions were easy. We have completed the browser settings. The wizard will walk you step-by-step through identifying your existing WiFi network and then asks if you want to have an extended network with a different name or enable roaming. Since I don't want to change the connection manually every time, I simply opted for the roaming box. Keep in mind that any extender you get will not have the same speed as your original network and that the location of the extender is important. You must place it between the dead zone and the router for the best results. Once the repeater was set up, I checked by going into the wireless zone, my phone stayed connected and roaming (switching networks) the whole time without complaining. The speed is decent as mentioned, not the same as the original signal but still decent speed for many common activities like making calls over Wi-Fi, streaming videos and music etc. Overall I think the price and the product a are bargains, if you have no experience with extension cords, installation is very easy. Think "roaming" when you want to keep the same WiFi name, location is important, and you don't expect the same speed as the original signal.
