Review on 4 Pack SnapPower GuideLight 2 Outlet Night Light - Automatic On/Off Sensor [Standard Decor, Not GFCI] - Wall Plate LED Lights (Light Almond) by Rafael Lee

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works as described but some drawbacks ruin a great thing.

Going to jump straight into the pros and cons as that's all that matters.PROS:1. Bright. Lights up the floor around it. Looks very cool.2. Subtle. So much nicer than having a nightlight. Plus it frees up both plugs.3. Simple as Pie. Just remove current cover screw in new one. Done.CONS:1. Price. No reason for it to be so much. It's a unique product so they jacked the price up. Once competition comes along hopefully the price will drop. But right now they are not very affordable in large quantities.2. Size. They are small. Much smaller than the modern outlet covers you get at box stores. Kinda ruins the aesthetics when they don't match the rest of your outlets.3. THEY DO NOT TURN OFF.While none of these cons are deal breakers they are enough for me to hold off on buying anymore. At least until the idea becomes more mainstream and well known companies make these that match the rest of the outlet and light covers. Until then they are just a neat thing to have.<UPDATE>After a year of owning these I'm still holding on to that 3 star rating. The main factor being that the lights never turn off. They are on all the time. The light sensor is not sensitive enough. I'm assuming the sensor they used was cheap as I can have my house lights on and the Snap lights don't turn off. I have to literally shine a flashlight directly on the sensor to get them to shut off.

Pros
  • The light almond color is a very trendy style, fitting well with modern and minimalist interior designs and this product is offered in a 4-pack, giving you more options to install then you would typically receive with most nightlights or wall outlets
Cons
  • Not durable enough for high-traffic areas
