What really separates this reader from the most basic devices is the ability to draw charts. You can choose which signals to add to the chart and display in real-time. The update speed varies depending on the bus type of your vehicle. However, I find it fast enough for basic troubleshooting. It turns on and responds quickly, especially when scanning the communication log. I have several other devices that have been switching between all protocols for ages. Here's what I particularly like: It has a built-in code library for various OEMs. If you have a code but don't know what it means, you can look it up. - View real-time data and record graphs. You can manually select the signals you want to plot on the chart (ie it's not about random default selection or filling in stuff you might not need). - Easy to read and use. The keys are labeled and no guesswork is required. - Menus move quickly and there's no annoying delay between pressing a button and refreshing the screen. - Cable long enough to put in a cup holder or even outside the engine when plugged in. - Data logging and updating can be done. However, as with any product, support is only provided for a limited time. What I missed: The case is okay, but the devices are quite tight in it. When you put the OBD2 connector on the buttons, it pushes them when you zip it up. I was able to put the pug vertically next to the device and it works better. The overall quality of the material is just ok. It's a little flimsy and most of the weight is on the top of the device. The font used for text and menus is terrible. All in all, it's a good device, especially since it can display real-time graphics, and I definitely recommend it. That. Remember that the battery/charge tester is limited by the voltage the scanner sees at the OBD2 connector. If your vehicle's connector is plugged into a circuit with other loads, the voltage will drop and the reading will be inaccurate. If you want accurate results, purchase a dedicated battery/charger system tester. Please note that this block does not work with CANFD (a protocol some manufacturers have already started migrating to).
