I liked the silicone gloves, my husband didn't. I didn't really like the feel of the silicone but I was able to hold the baking sheets. better. We had an old oven mitt that wore out about ten years ago and was the only one my husband used. He had the nerve to ask me to buy him a new one. I looked at several oven mitts and non-silicone oven mitts. I didn't like what I found until I saw this. PERFECTION! Fabric my husband wants with silicone strips to hold on to. The product description says the silicone strips help with heat, I'm not sure if they help as they don't cover a large area. There are a lot of stripes, so maybe there is. Either way, if you like the convenience of fabric oven mitts but need the grip of silicone, get these! I have blue jeans. They don't look like jeans, the blue color is great and goes well with our kitchen. You look great from every perspective.
