Start with digital control. If the power supply is interrupted for a short time, the device will turn off and not turn on again if it has such digital control. I had the same issue with the timeout - I should have figured it out myself I think. But also the lights showing the settings you chose are so dim that I couldn't see them in a room with windows during the day even if I had shaded them with my hands. It boasts that it's energy efficient and uses less power when the room temperature isn't quite right, but that means it's slow to reach the final temperature. The lowest thermostat is 65 degrees, so using it to keep the room warm at night, for example, is not an option. The timer does not turn on and off at specific hours, just let it work and even count the number of hours up to 12.
