This worked great for my custom cooled car. It has never heated up (always pushing oil through the radiators). It heats up pretty quickly now and does an excellent job of keeping my coolers from overheating. Make sure you get the right temperature to open. It is rated for 180-195F (start open to fully open) which is ideal for most standard automotive oil systems.
