Two of these were purchased for installing the client. For storing audio and video equipment that cannot be rack mounted (e.g. stereo receivers/amplifiers, DVD recorders, TVs/monitors, etc.). The holes line up perfectly with the rack and supporting the weight of multiple devices on each shelf was no problem. The depth of the shelves is perfect. By placing the stereo receiver on a shelf, I was able to align the front of the receiver with the front of the shelf/stand rails, with the back of the shelf extending a few inches past the back of the receiver. Don't worry about something falling off. This is a good buy and I will buy more of these when I need them!
