I have 4 crinoline skirts in different colors and was surprised at the differences. This one was both the spikiest and the most plump (I cut off 2 of the 3 layers and it was what I expected from hoop skirts). It wasn't what I was looking for under a regular dress, but it might be a bonus for a costume that should be super over the top. There is an inner lining that is less scratchy than the puff layers but still quite rough. The Malco Modes Luxury Vintage Crinoline in Turquoise had a better texture - a totally different, soft cloud of material that was the perfect pouf, but not a crinoline parody.
