Absolutely great pens! Their pigment is intense, they layer very well, sharpen well and withstand high pressure without breaking. My only complaint is the lack of yellow and red in the 36 set (haven't been able to find a larger set in the US yet). These are professional quality colored pencils and if you are a beginner you will love working with these amazing pens. I recommend using good quality paper as good colored pencil paper has small teeth that allow for layering, erasing and peeling. These pencils are expensive, but they have a good lead size (4mm) and don't need to be sharpened every 45 seconds. They have the perfect balance of creamy, intense color and a hard core that gets the point across.
