This thermometer was very easy to use right out of the box. I found the temperature was accurate. I've used it with a Traeger smoker by attaching the included wire and meat stick to a thermometer and leaving the stick in the meat while it cooked. It has a magnet in it so it stuck to the side of the grill and I could just look at the temp without lifting the lid and manually checking the temp of the meat. Highly recommend, especially for the price!
