The ability to play over 500 games is amazing. Hook it up to your TV and you can play with a second player on the big screen in games that support it. However, there are some limitations.1. Some games look pretty pixelated on HD TVs2. No support for HDMI or modern outputs for connecting to TVs that don't support older RCA cables. There are adapters, but I haven't tried them3. The cable may be too short if you have to sit further away from the TV4. No memory function5. The selection of games is insane. There is no search function. You'll have to scroll down the alphabetical list to find what you want to play. The good news is that the number of games can be expanded by downloading the ROM and adding it to the memory card that comes with it. Whether it's legal or not is up to you. Some games may be in the public domain and are free to download. Overall, for the low price, it offers a solid amount of games to keep you entertained for a few minutes.
