If you're a hobbyist like me then you can't do without this on your Park truing stand. Yes, these are all very expensive devices for a home mechanic, which is why I need them. I can just set the wheel and then look at the dial which sets the wheel to a tight tolerance of +/- xx thousand. Doing this by eye requires too much touch and touch that I may never develop to do it skillfully. For example, I have several road bikes with very expensive carbon rims and more than one set on my CX bike.
