We are putting this in a new construction 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 3 story home. Hard water sucks here in Santa Ana, California. Definitely noticeable on the shower doors after a few days. The rinse water has hard water stains that I have never seen. My eczema gets naughty easily. I installed it on a 1.5" copper pipe in the garage just after the water meter. If I remember correctly I ended up with about 28 turns of wire at the top and bottom. Worked non-stop for 2-3 months. Hard water stains are definitely not that dangerous. Definitely easier to clean. My eczema is still there but doesn't flare up as badly as it used to. It works as described, ie it conditions the water. In any case, I will later buy a real water softener and install it downstream from where I installed it.
