Made from a perforated stainless steel sheet in the shape of a cylinder. The holes are small enough to prevent newborn shrimp and juvenile fish from being sucked into the pump head. However, the end caps and cylinder body are spot welded, and the welds are too few and not very effective. Just the installation today has caused the open end to be broken. After that I have to use some epoxy to glue the free end together. Also, the open end is made of brittle acrylic. It really should be made of a more forgiving and flexible material. I foresee this cracking and destruction in the not too distant future.
