It has all the tools I need to process satellite images in my research projects (elevation models).It works perfectly with QGIS as well so that's nice too! There are many tutorials online which show you how it can be used but they're not very detailed or easy-to follow if you don't know what you want from them already. If you have an idea of exactly what kind of processing your going to do then there shouldn't really be any problems using this tool. You will find yourself learning new things every time because of its flexibility and power when dealing with large datasets like these. Elevations derived from optical satellites imagery such as Landsat 8 OLI /TIRS bands 1 - 2; 3 & 4, LDCM2B1A band 7 etc.
