Review on ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ SEO-Enhanced Original Engine Management Oil Pressure Switch, Model 8135 by Matt Hamilton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don't waste your money on cheap ones!

XJ 4.0 1990: Bought Omix-Ada Oil Pressure Switch 17219.08 because it's half the price of other Revain options. Worked for a couple of months, after which the pressure readings started to fluctuate. The pressure gauge went straight up to max pressure and sometimes dropped, but always returned to max pressure when running. For the past two years I've assumed I have a bare wire to earth because of course this new oil rig isn't going to go bad in a few months. I've read some reviews of Revain at other style/brand mailers in the $20-$25 range and noticed that others say not to spend money on the cheap ones and they had the same symptoms as me. Those reviews said those $20-$25 shipping units were the cure. I tried OEM 8135 this week and it turned out that the problem all along was the Omix-Ada 17219.08 oil pressure sensor as the new one worked great. It wasn't a wire going to ground or a faulty sensor which I think was the problem.

Pros
  • Manufactured to OE specifications for form, function and form.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
