This is NOT a pressure gate, the assembly instructions state that wall anchors must be used for installation. I chose not to follow the assembly instructions and installed it purely as a sealed gate (no wall anchors) for our dog and so far so good. The gate is heavy and looks well constructed. Unpacking at least 12-15 zip ties that needed to be cut and being careful not to damage the finish as you cut was a nightmare. Looks good after installation. Let's face it, it looks like an interior fence - a very nice interior fence. Much more attractive than the big plastic things that are available today. Many different configurations are available, allowing for use in different size openings. However, the tiny writing on the assembly instructions was hard to read (think of the possibility that grandparents can put this together and the view can't be 20/20 anymore!). I felt like the plastic parts didn't fit properly on the metal rails. Installation was cumbersome. The gate is not safe until the device is installed and properly adjusted. The gate can swing fast and hard if you are not careful when positioning. I would recommend using bungee cords or ropes to detach the gate section during installation.
