I agree with the reviewers who say this control box works better than the original and produces better sound quality . than the original. balanced, deeper bass, finer execution thanks to very good Klipsch satellite speakers. It's very easy to hook up and the subwoofer jack seems to have eliminated the crackling at that troublesome spot. I agree that turning the device on and off makes a loud crackling noise, but I keep mine on all the time so it's not a problem for me, but it might be for some.
