Upgrade to 5 stars. I was told that a 500g weight is needed to calibrate this scale. This is not the case, 100g is required if you switch to calibration mode. To enter calibration mode, hold m until CAL is displayed, then press M. Imagine my surprise when my new 500g calibration weight showed up as 100.21g Q. For some reason it became my scale was not properly calibrated at the factory. I need a 100g weight now. I will update the review once my scale is properly calibrated. Update, I received a 100g shipment and was more than happy to get my scale properly calibrated. I have a 500g that I bought for this scale, now that the scale is calibrated it reads 500g perfectly. I also have a total weight of 25g for my old scale, it also reads 25g perfectly. I'm very happy with the scales and everything came just in time for the Pinewood Derby. Now I know how much my baby cars weigh, no more messing around with Porto or X. Now let's just hope the official Pinewod scales are calibrated correctly lol. Since I use a Pinewood scale, I weigh in after every change I make, take a known weight each day to verify, and calibrate it. The scale is easy to use, the buttons are pleasant to the touch. The screen is clear and very easy to read. I love the two trays that come with it. The only thing I can ask is if it snaps onto the scale for storage. I will look for it soon or make a box for it.
