Good inverter suitable for tools and equipment

I was looking for an inverter to run my fridge and freezer during a power outage or evacuation. I'll tell you about my setup. I have a 12v deep cycle battery and a 300w solar panel for a battery charge controller. I cannot connect the solar panel to the inverter charge controller because the voltage is too high. 31 volts and it says you can't connect more than 18 so I was afraid to try so I just use a different charge controller. I did some test runs and on a sunny day it can run with no issues, both are energy stars so they don't really draw too much power or amperage. 1 is 96 watts and 3/4 amp and the other is 112 watts about 1 amp. The only problem I have is the instructions and the inverter. They all contradict the voltage you can supply to the inverter's charge controller. The top of the inverter says 17 to 34 volts max, the instructions say 15 to 17 volts, 18 volts ok I know of more than 300 watts but further in the book it says you max 600w so I am unsure about the input voltage on the charge controller really not sure, so I just use a separate one. Do you want to decide?
