I have Linux Ubuntu and was able to get it to work. I had to go to the forum to understand that the included software (windows only) is not really needed. Setup was easy once I found the router's internet address. The price was very reasonable and for the most part it worked very well. The only downside is that it regularly loses connection on my laptop and then immediately reconnects even though the signal strength is 4/5 bars. This happens about every few hours. So I wouldn't trust him to download anything for more than a few hours. I have a fast connection, so that's not stopping me.
