Edit: 3.75mm at nipple. normal use. I haven't even finished the hat. I do not recommend. I have the bamboo version of this set. It's okay, but ultimately disappointing. The finish and feel of the wood is not very good and small grooves appear quite quickly. At some point wear and tear will become a problem sooner or later. Some of the metal fittings that the cord is screwed into are slightly loose. They haven't popped out yet, but I'll probably take them off to reattach them before using any loose parts. Bolted fittings could have better quality control. The transition is not smooth. This is not a serious problem. Positive sides. The case is very pleasant. The cable itself is excellent, very flexible metal with a smooth plastic finish. I really like her. I don't think the set is bad for the price. Just a disappointment. If I order again I would try the aluminum one because bamboo is the worst part of the set.
