This is a quality bread slicer that is very easy to use. There are many details and putting them back together is a mystery. Don't throw away the box and instructions just yet. The bread comes out thick. The thinnest setting is 10mm (1cm), which is slightly thinner than Texas toast or about as thick as restaurant sandwiches. If you want a thin pullman type shim you either need to cut 15mm (nearest setting) or use it as a spacer at the 20mm setting (the result of the pullman thickness is 5mm) or use another spacer, to compensate for this. I used chopsticks, which worked fairly well and were standard store-bought thicknesses. All in all it's great. You set it up, then evenly slice a loaf of bread out of your breadmaker in minutes. The best thing since sliced bread.
