They're a good size - they hold enough to buy spices in bulk, but not so big that you fill them up and then scatter dull spices around. The glass is pretty thick. I dropped one on a wooden floor and it didn't break. Lids are tight. Pleasantly surprised by the labels. I have quite a large selection of spices and have found that 95% of the spices I have have pre-printed labels. There are also empty crates for the very rare spices you have on hand. I have used all 48 and intend to reuse this particular product to stock up my spice drawer.
