Review on 🚙 Auto-Trac 0232805 Peerless Light Truck/SUV Tire Traction Chain - 2 Piece Set by Frank Harwood

I would like to give 5 stars because I just LOVE these chains! So easy to install, I even installed them when the car was stuck (after some digging). I have 2 pairs (front and rear) for my 2008 Range Rover Sport and the performance of these chainrings is excellent, they will not let you down whether you are riding wet heavy icy PNW terrain or plowing through unkempt roads; These chains definitely work. However, as some previous reviews have noted, this "heavyweight" polymer ratchet doesn't really hold up. After our first use on a bumpy forest road that was a good mix of hard ice in places, deep tire tracks and even patches of snow to drive over, the ratchet on 3 of them broke. 4 chains. Has it helped me get through uncomfortable things safely? Yes. Do they last all winter? no Remember I adjusted the chains to less than a mile. Of course, I love these chains for their ease and safety when tensioning, but Peerless needs to find a way to make the tensioner a replaceable part so their customers are prepared and have spares on hand.
