I studied the gate and then bought this gate in February 2016. They have met and exceeded my expectations. We recently became step-grandparents and our dogs have puppies. We needed a gate to keep them all separate/enclosed and this gate solved our problem. The fasteners included in the kit worked either under pressure or in hardware. Security was a big concern so we attached it to the door frame. The man said it was simple and easy to install. It's very reliable, we haven't had to adjust or tighten any parts yet. The gates are high, neither children nor dogs went through. To open the gate you need to push the handle up and down. I can easily do this with my thumb and forefinger. The gate stays open until you close it. It opens in every direction, or you can set it to only open in one direction. The opening is large enough for a person with large hips to walk straight through. There is a cross bar at the bottom but I haven't tripped over it yet :) We have a standard size door frame and didn't use any of the extensions that came with it. And we can still close our door with the gate!
