I just installed this replacement valve and it works great. The old one is two piece, must be old design and I have to replace it every 2-3 years. After I install this pressure balanced valve, hot and cold water is stronger than before. According to the manufacturer, this Pfister 9743210 can help solve the problem of water pressure imbalance and YES. It helps. So far I haven't had any problems with it and I will fix it before winter comes.
