Does not stick together
I bought this item because I saw someone who had it for a gecko. The top didn't hold up so I had to glue it with super glue. I also had to position it so my gecko wouldn't roll on it when he climbed up. Otherwise it adheres very well to glass. I definitely wouldn't use it on a chameleon or any other heavy animal, even my gecko which only weighs 4g would flip it.
