Review on πŸ’‘ ACDelco 213-4411 / 12673134 GM Original Equipment Engine Oil Pressure Sensor - Reliable Oil Pressure Monitoring for Enhanced Performance by David Edwards

works great - tip GM 5.3 liters - remove sensor strainer

works great. 09 Silverado There was no oil pressure on the gauge, the engine STOP light came on. I'm a bit of a backyard mechanic so I drive it 30 miles with the lights/buzzers on. I KNEW I had oil pressure, lifters not ticking etc. On GM 5.3 liter engines BEWARE there is an oil filter screen. directly below this sensor. REMOVE IT and throw it away. It was designed to filter oil before the gauge but mine got clogged and I cleaned it with carb cleaner a year ago but it clogged again. I removed the screen with a pickaxe and installed the sensor about 6 months ago - still works perfectly. There hasn't been a filter under the sensors for 50 years, but I'm sure there's a reason for that. But I'm tired of fighting it. The sensor can be installed without removing the intake plenum, just use the bushing and gimbal and you have access to the sensor - it's a 30 minute job. Now that I know how to do it, I can do it in 5 minutes. much luck. Remove the oil filter screen under the sensor!
