Locks do not have a mounting flange to keep the locks in place in the door, so they slip and slide around and fail to be installed properly. Yea, they have what looks like a really tiny bump the edge, but it does not allow the lock to seat in the door mounting hole. One itty bitty bump or push, and the locks get out of alignment and that means more fussing and messing with it, especially for what is alleged to be an exterior lock. Instead of returning this, it will be used in an art installation, where it will work as a decoration instead of a real door lock.
