The block is much easier to use than beads.
My physical therapist advised me to buy paraffin wax for my hand therapy program. I use it three times a day. This block is much easier to take out of the box than the beads and the whole block is there without wasting time figuring out how to get all the little beads. I was afraid the smell might be too strong but I find it unobtrusive. I like lavender not only for the smell but also because insects don't like it. I am sensitive to smells. There are many candle shops that I can't even enter because I find the smell so bad. It's harmless. And I mean it as a high addition.
