I am very disappointed in this product. I melted 2 packs and the wax doesn't seem to contain any lanolin at all. I have purchased paraffin many times over the years and this is the worst product I have ever dealt with. My fingertips are just as cracked as they were before using this product. I was very disappointed with this product as it was very "dirty" after the wax was melted in the paraffin machine. At first I thought dust got in, but I knew I would never remove the lid when not in use. When I found out my mom had the same problem with her wax, she didn't tell me right away as the car and the wax were a gift from me. I bought this for my mom. She said it was enough to fill up her car twice. She once got her hands done in one place and is happy that she can now get it done at home while doing multiple tasks at the same time.

I've been using paraffin for 30 years and I've never been so disappointed. The wax is so thin that I had to dip my hands three times to remove the thin layers. The amount used was 1 1/8 oz for 6 push ups (2 hands), which isn't much. I risked it and now I regret it.

My physical therapist advised me to buy paraffin wax for my hand therapy program. I use it three times a day. This block is much easier to take out of the box than the beads and the whole block is there without wasting time figuring out how to get all the little beads. I was afraid the smell might be too strong but I find it unobtrusive. I like lavender not only for the smell but also because insects don't like it. I am sensitive to smells. Wax was beautiful. He melted easily in the bathtub. It smelled good. It dried quickly on my arms, legs and elbows after diving. I would definitely buy again if I need more.

The scent is very strong and not lavender (to me). It invaded 1/2 of my house. I had to take him to the bathroom and close the door until he cooled down. My hands were soft when I was done but it didn't last all night (I used it before bed). Not my favorite but maybe for someone else.
