If I could give it half a star it would be 3.5. The glass is thick and strong, which adds some serious weight to the trunk. However, I have 2 big problems with this boat. First, the huge seam running down the center is so noticeable that it seriously detracts from the overall aesthetic. The edge of the stem is sharp, as if someone cut the glass instead of rounding it off. There were also a few bubbles throughout the jar, but they were small enough and common enough for me to deal with. For the size and the price I paid these are still good beer boots and if you can see the seam and welt this is a good buy. Pros: Heavy, durable glass. Outstanding quality for the price. Cons: The center seam is very noticeable. The rim is sharp, unfinished. It will be uncomfortable to drink. Additional point: Manufacturing-related bubbles all over the glass. For some this adds character to the boot, for others it can be a problem. Mileage may vary
